Every other cabinet in this catalogue takes its air at the floor. The 430 does not. Its condenser sits behind a louvred grille across the top of the unit, and the kickplate at the bottom hides no condenser at all.

Where the air actually goes
Open the door and look up. Three Phillips head screws hold the louvred grille across the top of a 430. Take them out, tilt the grille forward, release the springs behind it and the condenser is there. An overlay panel grille comes off first, lifted up then pulled out at the bottom. None of that is obvious from the front of a finished run, which is why it is worth knowing before the joinery is built.
What a bar run in Calabasas does to it
A wine cabinet at the end of a bar usually acquires a cornice or a run of upper cabinetry over the top of it. To a 430 that is what a continuous plinth is to a toe kick: warm air leaving the grille has nowhere to go but back into it. Leave the grille its full opening, keep the removal path clear, and the cabinet holds both zones through the warmest part of an afternoon.

The condenser fan at the top has slowed
With the condenser above head height rather than under the cabinet, a fan going lazy is close to inaudible. The first report is the lower zone arriving a few degrees warm and staying there.

The questions are whether the fins are clean and whether warm air leaving the top has anywhere to go. With both answered and the room no hotter than usual, what remains is lost capacity in the sealed refrigeration circuit.

Two figures that track each other whatever you set them to point at the barrier between the compartments rather than the cooling. The divider gasket is where that starts, and it rarely fails suddenly: it takes a set over years.

Is the grille at the top of a 430 really where the condenser is?
It is. Sub-Zero puts the condenser behind the louvred grille at the top of this model. Reaching it means opening the door to get at three Phillips head screws, tilting the grille forward and releasing the springs behind it. No condenser sits behind the kickplate at the floor, though the drain pan does, and it still has to come off for service.
Does a 430 have the 90-degree door stop the 427 has?
Not as standard. On a 427 or 427R the stop is built into the hinges and set by turning a brass cam in the top and bottom hinge with a blade screwdriver. For a 430 the same thing is an accessory ordered through a dealer, worth settling before a corner installation is finished.
